What are Databases?
These electronic resources contain large amounts of information of different sorts, including:
- articles from periodicals (magazines, journals or newspapers)
- encyclopedia articles
- images
- materials
- statistics in spreadsheet format
Note that the articles in our periodical and encyclopedia databases are all PRINT based; the database is simply an electronic tool that allows you to access print material faster. Also note that some information is:
- full text: electronic version of the article is included (look for "full-text;" or PDF and HTML icons)
- not full text: you must find a print copy of the article; use OCAD Periodicals A - Z to see if we have the title you need in our collection
Help Guides
View our Databases A to Z and use our PDF Search Guides to learn more. Also consider using RefWorks to organize and create bibliographies.
