COURSE CALENDARS

FACULTY OF DESIGN

Faculty of DesignIf you are interested in the world around you and desire the knowledge and skills necessary for real innovation, consider the Faculty of Design. We offer a provocative, diverse and culturally rich environment, one that encourages students to think critically and responsively and to consider human and environmental needs.

Faculty of Design curriculum enables students to develop their own voice in the formation of ideas and in the expression of these ideas through verbal and visual language. Our emerging designers learn to create alternative responses to changing circumstances. As producers of objects, communications and environments, they define, enhance and transform the world around them.

Students choose from six programs, each with “Design and Humanity” as a philosophical base.

The idea is to create objects, communications, environments and experiences that nurture community, harmonize technology, satisfy needs and empower individuals.

Faculty of Design courses provide a depth of expertise in one discipline, as well as a breadth of understanding of others. Curriculum emphasizes experiential learning in the studio, and allows students to work closely with faculty to become proficient conceptual thinkers and creative problem solvers.
