AWARDS AND BURSARIES
Ontario’s Bursary for Students with Disabilities (BSWD) and the Canada Study Grant for the Accommodation of Students with Permanent Disabilities provide non-repayable financial assistance to full- and part-time students for disability-related services and equipment required for participation in postsecondary education. Eligible students receive up to $2,000 from the BSWD and up to $8,000 from the Canada Study Grant for Students with Permanent Disabilities. These funds are non-repayable and taxable. To be eligible for assistance, students with documented disabilities must qualify for assistance through OSAP (Canada-Ontario Integrated Student Loan program for full-time students, or the Part-Time Canada Student Loan or Ontario Special Bursary program for part-time students). For OSAP eligibility, please visit our Financial Aid & Awards Loan Programs webpage. To apply for a BSWD, make an appointment with staff at the CSD.
