ANCILLARY FEES
Class Fees
The class fee for the 2009/2010 fall/winter session for both full-time and part-time students is $10 per 0.5 credit course and $20 per 1.0 credit course.
Academic Equipment/New Technology Fee
All students registered in the fall/winter session are charged a fee for Academic Equipment/New Technology. For the 2009/2010 fall/winter session, the fee is $3.00 per 0.5 credit course.
Health Promotion and Personal Counselling Fee
All students registered in the fall/winter or summer session are charged a fee for Health Promotion and Personal Counselling Services. For the 2009/2010 fall/winter session, the fee is $10.70 per 0.5 credit course.
Learning Resources Fee
All students registered in the fall/winter or summer session are charged a Learning Resources Fee. For the 2009/2010 fall/winter session, the fee is $2.25 per 0.5 credit course.
Career Services Fee
The Career Services Fee for the 2009/2010 fall/winter session is $3.00 per 0.5 credit course.
Student Union Fee
The Student Union fee for the 2009/2010 fall/winter session is $61 for students enrolled in 3 credits or more and $31 for students enrolled in less than 3 credits.
Student Union—External Space Fee
The Student Union—External Space fee for the 2009/2010 fall/ winter session is $25 for both full-time and part-time students.
Student Union—Admin Fee
The Student Union—Admin fee for the 2009/2010 fall/ winter session is $1.00 per 0.5 credit course.
Canadian Federation of Students
The Canadian Federation of Students fee for the 2009/2010 fall/winter session is $12.50 for students enrolled in 3 credits or more and $6.25 for students enrolled in less than 3 credits.
Health Plan Fee
All full-time students (registered in 4.0 credits or more during the fall/winter session) are enrolled in the Health Plan and are charged a fee of $100. Participation is compulsory for full-time students. Part-time students may join in September or January (whichever month studies begin). Family coverage is also available. Coverage lasts until August 31, 2010. Students who are already covered by a health plan may choose to opt out of this plan by September 30, 2009. Dental Plan Fee
All full-time students (registered in 4.0 credits or more during the fall/winter session) are enrolled in the Dental Plan and are charged a fee of $135. Participation is compulsory for full-time students. Part-time students may join in September or January (whichever month studies begin). Family coverage is also available. Coverage lasts until August 31, 2010. Students who are already covered by a dental plan may choose to opt out of this plan by September 30, 2009. University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP)
All international students studying in Ontario are required to purchase the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) at the time of fee payment. Participation is compulsory. Family coverage is available. The plan provides basic health care benefits including hospital and doctor services. Details on the UHIP plan can be found on the Student Insurance Plans page.
